Family

Wayne and Erma, as parents did all that they could
To keep family close and teach them what’s good.
Their teachings passed down, their memories live on.
We choose to stay close to help us be strong.

Reunions were a highlight and held every May
We’d share a meal, have a program, the kids would go play
We’d eat a big pot-luck with salads and such
Baked beans, lots of cakes, and the best…LEMON FLUFF 

Over time things have changed as some have moved on
No matter the meeting place we always belong
We get together for weddings and just to spend time.
Being with family is almost divine.
Being with this family of mine.  

 We will always be there for each other,
In spirit Wayne and Erma will be us too.
We’ll try to follow the motto they gave us
To keep the faith our whole lives through. 

We’ll continue to be there for weddings
And to say our final good-byes.
Because being with family is almost divine.
